The way you have hurt me is an unforgettable twist.
The tick of a clock does not heal what you strongly inflict.
Your presence strokes my back.
I smell the fragrance of your existence.
And my hands can’t help but tremble, unable to form a fist.
I am not mad; I am just in remembrance.
Like there's glue between us, that everything that is so imperfect,
perfectly fits.
Like I’ll never have the energy,
I feel near you fade.
Every candle I've ever blown out was for the sake of your name
Yet you're still here
Have you ever tried to escape
Was it our destiny to speak a million words - but never again?
Did the universe send you to know me, then leave me?
Not a twin flame or a fire that
starts a spark from within you
but a constant stream of water that plunges through your nose till you drown.
We are not connected by some invisible string.
The stem of a rose ties together you and me .
The thorns you’ve tied around my throat pierce into my skin.
To suffocate.
I can no longer breathe.
I will carry this hurt to my grave.
I will pass it down as if it were a last name.
And I will lie awake, pondering how many things you think about before you reach what happened with me.
I think I will die with your name at the front of my brain, not because you're important but because you were my first taste of rain.
Your water poisoned me, and I could never be saved.
Because I am only as strong as what the world allows me to forget.
